Simulacrum
What do we have here?
If it isn't the Chinese fascination with simulacra, and the importance of appearances.
Simulacrum (2013-2014) as body of work isn't just a fascination, it is the reading of the Chinese veneration of the visual and façade, as it resonated with theories of Baudrillard on simulacra, discovered and documented from an angle different from the culturally correct view.
Presented here is the evidence of a personal reading and relationship of this fascination, seen through the lens of the distanced yet subjective observer and photographer.
The viewer is invited to (re)consider their thoughts, an invitation to take part, to rethink what they make of it all.
